Today in Admissions was awesome. We had a potluck and I got to eat a bunch of cookies, cupcakes, chips and hamburgers. Pretty great.

Aside from that, still windin down! But I am pretty psyched about going to Wells Fargo the other day and getting some of my overdraft fees taken off. Man, so awesome. Really saved me as far as rent this month.

I need to fix a screen at some point this weekend or else I lose my security deposit. Lame. I've never fixed a screen in a window before so I will be consulting Menards and THE INTERNET~ for help with that home improvement project. Getting the screen out of the window in the first place was difficult enough for me, I had to consult a roommate to figure out how to pull it out. It's been staring me in the face every day while I dread having to figure this junk out. I already have a sheet of screen so I just need to buy some random tool or two before I am ready to tackle it.

What else is up? Nothing, tonight is supposed to be my super homework night to get my last stuff done for spirituality, management, and stylistics. With any luck. I guess we shall soon see how that goes. Will probably stretch into tomorrow, although I would prefer to be able to work on my last java assignment at that time so that next week is a cake walk and just a matter of doing my management paper.

For once, putting my title as whatever is stuck in my head does not pan out.

So. One more rent payment at my house before it my lease is up and I am on thin ice. Things are tight around here, as they are with everyone, and I currently do not have the cash to pay my rent this weekend. You know what that means: Time to pawn stuff.

I drove all over the Twin Ports trying to find a place to pawn off my PS2 and games. What a waste of time that was. For my 9 games I got a pathetic $12.50. It would have been far more worth my time to put them on e-bay, or better yet use them as skeet targets. As for the PS2 itself, no where will take it. I have a friend who swears Gamestop will give me at least $10 for my old style PS2 (the bulky ones from before the slim version) but I'm skeptical. I'll find out tomorrow, I drove far too much already for one day before hearing that factoid.

I was also commissioned with pawning off a friend's kick pedal to his drum set, and have chosen to pocket that cash so I can pay rent. No, I am not ripping my friend off. I have every full intention of getting him his money as soon as I have it, which quite frankly even with the $30 Music Go Round got me for it, is still gonna hardly reach my goal of $300 dollars.

Looks like I will have to hit the rents up for cash. Again. And it makes me feel absolutely horrible. I'm probably already moving back home this summer for an unknown period of time, so I have to live off them for some time yet. I will be self sufficient someday, there is just no telling when.

So the presentation in MIS today went swimmingly, which is more than I can typically say about the presentations I am involved in. The team worked together well and when it was go time, we went.

We manage to drag out the presentationg to an hour and 15 minutes which was a pleasant surprise and James seemed pleased. I was able to drop some science on some fools with little difficulty, and all in all I am pretty sure we got near full credit. Course I didn't really expect any less... OR DID I?

Any dang ways, nothing else of note aside from the face next week is buckle down city. Got to get to work on my final papers for Spirituality and Management, prepare for the final in Linux and the final project, and the final project in Wireless. Ack. I have no idea how I will survive. Hopefully I shall!

Wow, am I really graduating in just a couple weeks? Nope, didn't do my internship, but I AM walking for graduation. I keep clarifying to people I am not getting my degree yet, and maybe I should stop because it is kinda taking away from my enjoyable moment of "wow I never have to go to class again". So I am just gonna try to bask in the glory of being done with school I think.

So I am pretty sure I have a trapped ulnar nerve. My left hand/arm along the left side keep getting kinda numb/falling asleep/aching. It's like carpal tunnel, but the carpal nerve is the other side of the hand. And way more serious. If I can keep my arm straight and sleep with it straight for a while it should rectify itself. If I still have it in a few weeks, uh oh. That can cause muscle wasting, and I may need surgery. So lame. its mostly an annoyance though more than anything. I'll deal as long as it goes away as it should. So tonight we gotta finish our presentation for MIS tomorrow. My team did a majority of the work which is pretty awesome, but yeah, I gotta finish up the paper and powerpoint with my section of the material. It will not be fun! I've never given an hour+ powerpoint before so it should be interesting. The presentation in spirituality meanwhile went well. I bribed the class with Milky Way bars and that upped the participation, so yeah, awesome. Other than that,typing isn't very fun with my left hand/wrist being all weird, so I'll stop there. Ack.

So my website project is due tomorrow and I kinda haven't really started it yet and I think I'm in big trouble.

I'm sitting here waiting for my stew to finish microwaving so I can inhale it and get back to the school to work on the website till the lab closes down, and probably a little more tomorrow before I have to leave town for my eye appointment in Virginia.

Gawd. This is just not fun.

So I am hoping I get that done but on the bright side I am done with my presentation for Spirituality, all but the actual presenting portion natch. Then I have 2 essays to write in there and that should be finito aside from the final exam which I am very worried about.

Management, well, I have a group presentation due next Thursday and our team hasn't met yet, and we aren't going to meet until Monday at the earliest. So yeah. Fun. That presentation has to last the entire class period so I am pretty worried about making it last that long. My longest powerpoint ever has probably been 10 minutes tops. I am no good at presenting. Add to that some final paper we are supposed to do and that is that class.

This website should have been the last thing in Wireless but, nope! We have to do something in Android and I am completely unfamiliar with it. Kinda scared, honestly. Probably be my Java 2 final all over again.

As for Linux, well, final exam won't be fun, but I'm not too concerned and that goes double for Stylistics, which gave me a pick me up when Schifsky said he liked my essay I wrote about death. So that was awesome, and he read it to the class and I think everyone liked it. I hope anyway.

So how was everyone's Easter break?

Mine was pretty fantastic. I got to spend a ton of time with my girlfriend, hung out with pals, and finally saw my parents again. They have been road trippin' for a few weeks and just got back. Their main destination was New Orleans, but they also got to go to Memphis. They had a great time, and I was happy for them as they hadn't gone on a trip in some years.

But, here I am, back in Duluth ready to buckle down and pass my classes so that I can walk with my graduating class next month. I am pretty excited and I am sure I will write about the subject more as the graduation date nears.

In the meantime, ugh. Could I have more homework? I am swamped in 3 of my classes, and the other two are still providing steady work loads of their own. It's a bit stressful. Make that a lot. But hey, at least after this I am probably done with school forever. Woo hoo.

Tonight it's Management and Spirituality. Management I just have to do a couple article reviews and a case study assignment, but man, I am not looking forward to the chapter group presentation we need to do soon. Then we apparently have a big research paper due at the end on top of a final exam.

Spirituality, bleh. Just got assigned 2 new essays today on top of our group presentation paper and powerpoint.

I dunno. What has me most concerned though is the website I need to make for Wireless programming. I don't even want to start it, especially not with all this other junk I have to do at the same time. Sigh.

Well then! How are you!

So today was Senior Salute and I got a ton of papers I'll probably end up just throwing away. Suspicions confirmed include: no holds on my account, not getting my degree till I get my internship, yep I have loans to start paying off soon, cake is delicious.

It was a relatively painless affair which I was thankful for, when I walked through the Union during it last year I couldn't believe the chaos but, I luckily went during a slow time. Everyone was nice and I got in a conversation with a guy who told me about his grad party from high school getting a noise complain at 3 in the afternoon.

So no surprises, thankfully, but my interest was piqued by the insurance booth. I can get this 90 day insta care thing from Blue Cross, and then they also had another plan tailored for people like myself. This is something I will have to consider if my breathing problem gets worse. I'm seeing the doctor for it in a couple weeks so, yeah.

I was very happy to get my cap and gown for free. Those people doing the survey came through! I considered bringing it out to my car but it is way too cold out, so I'll just wait till I'm done here for the day and carry it around.

So this past weekend I went to the cities and it was a pretty good time. As usual we ate out too much, the pinnacle being a delicious burrito from Chipotle. That place is kinda like the Soup Nazi, only with burritos. You walk up, say what you want, and then step to the side to wait for your order. No documented cases of burritos being denied to those who cannot appreciate the dedication that goes into each American-Mexican piece of cuisine.

Saw Adventureland, I recommend it... mostly. It is far more sentimental than you are expecting, and the main chick plays a relatively cliche' "ugh so jaded but so beautiful" role where everyone thinks she is the most amazing person on Earth because she has angst. The main characters are approximately 21 years old but behave like high schoolers which was kinda weird as well. But, still really funny. Go and laugh, and maybe you will enjoy the "deep and meaningful" parts too.

I also went to my first night club ever. Wow. What a ridiculous experience that was. I don't drink, so I just hung out while everyone around me "reveled in debauchery". I gotta say, it was not a family friendly atmosphere. But I had a great time. There was a lot of funny people to laugh at. That may be a bit misanthropic of me, but that's fine, it definitely wasn't my crowd, and we can never understand each other. A true tragedy.

Weekend was capped off with WRESTLEMANIA~~~. As documented here, I'm a wrestling geek. I go to a friend's house to watch Wrestlemania every year, and even if the event disappoints, I just have a better time making jokes on it with my best buds. This year ranged, but there were a couple fantastic matches. I won't go into detail though, I guarantee not one person who has ever looked at this blog even begins to care about professional "dont u kno dats fake/" wrestling.

Anyway, that's all. I'm getting stressed out with graduation coming and projects/research papers on the horizon, but hey, maybe it'll all work out. See ya in a couple.

April Fool's!

Hey guys, Khris here.

So what's up?  I met with my partner for our spirituality project. We just wanted to find our library sources today, and I think our tentative plan is to have our papers done by next Wednesday so we can work together on our Powerpoint. I'm fortunate to have a partner who takes charge and likes to get things done early as possible.  

I am so pumped for Wrestlemania, that's pretty much the only thing really on my mind aside from the obvious. And man, the end of the semester is shaping up to be hectic. Got the powerpoint/final paper project in Spirituality, the final project for Wireless programming, research paper and chapter presentation for Management, the big Linux final... the only class that isn't going to overwhelm me is probably Stylistics. I don't think we will have a final paper type deal in there and I know we aren't having a test. So, good!

That's the update on my life, keep it real, and keep the April Fool's jokes in good taste and harmless this year.
