Good morning and thank goodness it's Friday!

Good morning CSS!  Well, I haven't talked to you guys in a while, but this week has been an interesting one.  I have been babysitting a lot as usual and going to class and such, but I drove a four wheeler down a hill in the country WAY too fast and I tipped it!!!  I have a pretty nasty bruise on my back and on my legs. 

But, this weekend I have some more fun plans.  Tomorrow night I'm going to an Army dinner/Christmas ball in Superior, which I'm really excited about!  Also, my mom and dad have season tickets to the UMD hockey games, so I may go tonight.  We'll see. 

Other than that, I'll probably get some homework and studying done.  :)  Have a happy weekend and I'll blog you soon!  :)

Good morning CSS!!!  Is everyone ready for another full week of school!?  We're going to have a great week as we're expecting snow!  :D  YAY! 

I'm ready to get back into the school schedule again after a long holiday weekend.  I'll be back to school, babysitting, and studying.  After a long weekend I really miss the little kids I babysit for.  They are all so much fun. 

With only a few weeks of school left in the semester, I'm feeling so glad that I'm at St. Scholastica.  The school has been so great so far this fall that I'm ready to study for finals and take the last exam.  :)  Also, don't forget to sign up for the Jingle Bell run on Saturday!  I haven't run since this past summer, so it will just be a fun way to move around a little bit.  Have a fantastic week!  Blog you soon!

Hey everyone!  :)  How was everyone's weekends?  I hope you all were able to relax and enjoy some time with family.  This weekend just flew by!  I can't believe it.

Thanksgiving was really nice even though I ate way too much of course.  But, I also got to see friends who go to school outside of Duluth this weekend, see some movies, go shopping, and see the lights at Bentley-ville.  It's nice to have a weekend every now and then when you can just have a good time.  :)

With only two days of school last week, we'll see how quickly this coming week goes by, but with less than three weeks of school left in the semester, I'm guessing it will go by quickly.

Winter Wonderland or Fun in the Sun?

Happy weekend CSS! 

I did end up going shopping on Black Friday and I got a lot of stuff actually!  I bought a big lamb pillow that was about fifteen inches and round.  I also bought a raccoon for my cousin Kyle.  It was just kind of a joke, but he liked it a lot!!  :)  I also bought a couple of new shirts.  Our friend Bora from Korea bought jackets for her entire family.  That was so nice of her. 

For the winter wonderland question, I love both winter wonderland and fun in the sun.  I love winter for skating, sledding, and hot chocolate with friends, but I feel like a warm trip to somewhere tropical at the beginning of summer is a necessity :)  I don't think I could live in the heat year round though. 

This afternoon I'm going to see the new Twilight movie with Bora and then tonight I'm going to Bentlyville!!!  In the morning a group of friends from high school and I are going out for breakfast.  I won't see them again until Christmas break.  Have a great rest of your weekend!  Blog you soon!

Happy Thanksgiving :)

Hello CSS and Happy Thanksgiving!  What are you thankful for on this wonderful holiday?  I know that one of the most important things that I am thankful for is my family.  If it weren't for my Mom, Dad, and sister I would not be here or be the person I am today.  Also, I am thankful for an opportunity for a great education at St. Scholastica and having such nice faculty and students to work with.  There are so many things in life that we tend to take for granted but deep down we truly are thankful. 

My Mom has been cooking for days now.  I don't know how she does it, but she manages to make everything homemade and delicious.  I can't wait to start eating!  Haha.  We're going to have lots of company over today.  Some of my aunts and uncles and their kids and some of the girlfriends, my sister's boyfriend, our friend Bora from Korea, and possibly some more.  I never really know.  Haha. 

Well, remember the things in life that you are thankful for today and have lots of turkey and Thanksgiving food.  :)  Enjoy!

Thanksgiving Eve

Good morning CSS!  I hope everyone is safely home and ready for the big turkey day!  :)

I love the holiday season.  My family put our Christmas trees and other decorations up this week.  Yesterday when I was babysitting I brought a wood advent calendar for the kids to paint.  It looked really cute.  Everyday I'll have to put a note or some candy inside of it for them.  :)

I babysit in about an hour again today.  It will just be their four year old.  He is the cutest little guy!  My house smells like food for the big day tomorrow!  I love it!  I don't know what you all think, but I'm actually ready for some snow!  Well, I hope everyone is able to relax and spend some nice time with family and friends this week.  Blog ya soon.

Christmas City, Wonderful City!

Hello all!

It's Monday evening here and I can't believe how fast this past weekend and Monday went by.  My family started putting our Christmas decorations up over the weekend, so that has been really exciting and fun.  We usually don't put the decorations up until after Thanksgiving, but last year we started a new tradition.  I love Christmas decorations; I could leave them up most of the year! :) 

This coming weekend is the opening of Bentlyville.  They are having it in Duluth this year to make it a little bit less congested in Cloquet.  There are so many people volunteering and helping out.  I cannot wait to see it.  It's going to be amazing!!!  :)  Also, if you're newer to Duluth, you should drive down to Park Point and look at all of the lights.  There is a lady and her son who put up a ton of lights and they also are very pretty.

The Zinema

Good morning and happy weekend CSS!

Have you ever been to the Zinema Theater in downtown Duluth?  It is brand new and I went there after the Christmas City of the North Parade with some friends last night.  They do improvisation so it is really funny.  :)  It runs every Friday night at 10:30 and there is a five dollar charge.  It's a nice way to finish a Friday. . . .with a good laugh!  :D  But don't go next Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) because it is the day after Thanksgiving of course :)

I'm really excited for Thanksgiving and Black Friday next week because our Korean friend Bora will be with us and she's never experienced the American version of Thanksgiving!  But, enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll blog ya soon!  :)

It has been such a beautiful week here in Duluth!  The sun is shining and the temperature was actually at 59 degrees Fahrenheit today!  The week seemed to go by quickly, once again.  Tonight I'm meeting up with some friends to watch the Christmas City of the North Parade.  I'm really excited to see it!  If you go, get yourself some hot chocolate and dress warm!

Other than that, I have a History paper to work on this weekend.  It's going to be kind of a quiet weekend I think considering that I'lI be awake bright and early next Friday for Black Friday!!!  It will be really fun to take our Korean friend Bora out there for her to see all of the commotion and chaos.  Also, she will see how much food Americans can eat on Thanksgiving!  Hmmm. . . .

Longest amount of time without sleep?

Hey everyone!  This is kind of an interesting question.  I would have to say that the longest time I've gone without sleep would probably have to be when I first arrived to Minnesota from Seoul, South Korea.  As a baby, I wasn't used to the jet lag, so I stayed awake and cried for four days.  Other than that, I've stayed awake for events such as the Relay for Life and traveling.  But I do indeed enjoy sleep.  :)

Tomorrow's Friday!  Who is happy about that?!  :)  Tomorrow night is Duluth's Christmas City of the North Parade.  I have gone to that parade just about every year.  I honestly can't remember missing it.  So, if you're looking for something fun to do tomorrow night, I suggest getting a warm cup of hot chocolate, dressing warm, and heading down to Superior Street to watch the parade.
